Barbados 2016 Part 3 – Scuba Diving Week 3   Recently updated !

Barbados.  A slice of Heaven on earth … If you’re just joining me, I published the first part of my Barbados 2016 series here and the second part here.  This third part in the series covers days 6 through 11 where we did most of our scuba diving. I mentioned previously that on day 3, we only did the one dive.  It really wasn’t until the following week did we actually get into the diving.  Beginning on Monday, July 11th, we did 10 dives during the course of the week, bringing the total amount of dives to 11 in just six days, with approximately 10 hours of […]

Blog Paws Wordless Wednesday 2

Happy Wednesday Friends! It’s Blog Paws Wordless Wednesday (my blog posts are not so wordless – sorry, not sorry!)!  Many of you that frequent this blog know that Wednesdays are one of my favourite days of the week.  This weekly link up from the Blog Paws community is a place where we can all show off our beloved pets, as well as network with others and find some friendships in some unlikely places.

No?  Just me?  Cool.  I post much the same on Monday’s or Tuesdays but I get sick and tired of labelling them as ‘Weekend Recaps’ all the time.  Anyways, it doesn’t matter.  This past weekend I went up north again to visit the inlaws and Jeff shot in an IPSC shooting match on Sunday just south of North Bay (in Powassen). Basically this post is going to be a photo dump from Thursday to Sunday.  Thursday I was off for a Doctor’s appointment for this spot I […]

Sometimes all it takes is gentle reminders of things that make us grateful or appreciative. We live in a world full of disaster, chaos, poverty, famine, and tragedy – reflecting on the positive, I personally find makes me more aware and appreciative of the little […]

Action Shooting

Match Weekend, the weekend of the Monsoon 4

Holy bananas, did it ever rain on Saturday!!  It seems like it’s an annual tradition that when these tournaments (action shooting – think scenarios with targets) are planned, the day that all the safety officers compete is the day where the sky just opens up and Mother Nature just pours down on us.  And it is usually followed up with a beautiful, sunny day and this year certainly did not disappoint.  Sunday was just gorgeous and perfect weather conditions for the other 67 or so competitors that shot in the tournament. I’m not a safety officer but I was helping organize […]
