Liebster Nom’d again 11

Liebster

So I’ve been nom’d once again for the Liebster Award (I had been previously nominated back in February and in April (you can view those posts here and here)).  But last week, I was nominated not once, but TWICE!  Holy flattered and honoured over here.

Since I’ve been nom’d already, I’ll let anyone that wants to participate to do so but link up and let me know if you have posted so that I can read your answers later on.

If you’re curious about the actual rules, go read them in my post here).  If you wish to participate, due to my lack of creativity and being pressed for time, please answer the questions that were posed to me below – feel free to mish-mash some of the questions together from both of the ladies.

~~~
It all started with Amanda over at Blissful Gal., who nominated me here.
Amanda’s questions were:
1. If money was no object, where would you travel to?
Barbados (obviously!), Maldives, Galapagos Islands, Kenya, Tanzania, South of France, BC, Indonesia, Bali, India… Shall I go on?
2. What has been your biggest blogging challenge?
Not being too hard or putting too much pressure on myself.
3. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Oh gosh, let’s see: a Cardiologist, a Lawyer, a Police Officer
4. If you were on an island, who would you want to be with. Why?
Jeff, My Mom, and my dogs.  I don’t think this needs an explanation.
5. What’s your favorite flavor of jelly bean?
I would say red or orange.  I do not like the white or black ones.
6. What is your favorite quote? Why?
“We are all visitors to this time, this place.  We are just passing through.  Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home. – Australian Aboriginal Proverb.  I think that quote speaks VOLUMES.  We live in a world today is war, suffering, environmental disasters, species being extinct… I think many or most people don’t realise just how fortunate and privileged we are.  We are here for a short time, not a long time and yet look at what we’re doing to this beautiful planet?
7. What was your first job? Did you like it or hate it?
My first job was when I was 14 and it was at a shoe store named Aldo.
8. Who is your celebrity crush? Why?
David Beckham, hands down.  HOT and he’s nice, and funny!
9. What is your favorite blog?
My fave blog, jeez, that’s a really tough one.  I would say every blog that’s on my Feedly blog list I really love and enjoy.  I can’t pick just one, truthfully.
10. What is your favorite hobby? (besides blogging)
SCUBA diving, traveling and exploring.
11. What’s your favorite store to shop at?
Oooh.  Another tough one.  I love Loft and Anne Taylor for work and outside of work, well Lululemon I guess and any store that stocks my brand of jeans that I’ve been wearing since a teenager.
Ashley over at Keeping up with Ashley and Cody nominated me last week for the Liebster Award
Ashley’s questions were:
1. Describe your blog in one word?
Diverse.
2. Why did you start blogging?
I’ve always loved writing and jotting down my thoughts.  I’m an only child so I live quite a bit inside my head.
3. What is your must read blogs?
See above.  Any blog that I have on my Feedly list I consider must-read.
4. Paper or Digital?
Depends what it is.  I have to have a paper planner, something tangible in my hands.  God forbid if technology fails and my calendar can’t keep me on the straight and arrow.  I guess I just have a general dis-trust with technology in not relying on it because it’s, well, digital.  Technology has been known to fail.  For reading, I prefer e-reader or paper, but I do like collecting a good hard cover book here and there.
5. Favorite color?
Blue.  Any shade.
6. Dog or Cat?
For me personally, dogs.  I’m still allergic to cats even though not nearly as much as I used to.  I can’t see my life without a dog or dogS in it.  🙂
7. You’re shopping for yourself, what is the first store you go to? Why?
Lululemon or maybe Victoria’s Secret.  My little slices of heaven.  Lululemon for their comfortable work out wear that is flawless and allows you to look your best whilst sweating your tush off.  VS because, well, who doesn’t love pretty under-garments?!
8. What do you like to do for fun?
Read other blogs, read, hike, go out and explore new places, try new food, spending time with the boys (all three of my boys *swoon*)
9. If you had 1 million dollars, what would you do?
Pay off debt, sell our condo, buy a house, buy a new car, go on a dive trip (maybe a live-aboard?!) and save whatever is left.
10. Favorite chick flick?
No clue – I’m not really a chick flick kind of gal.
11. Freebie… You choose.  Errr.  If I could have one type of cat breed, what would it be?
I would say a Hairless Sphinx or a Bengal.
  • I love that proverb quote! So much truth.
    Blue is my favorite color, too! But it makes me sad you don’t like black jelly beans. Those are my favorite so I’ll make a trade with you. You can have my orange ones and I’ll take your black licorice ones.
  • Deal. Lol Do you like black licorice too? I do, but something about black jelly beans… Not my thing.
    That is my absolute fave quote that I always come back to.
    Hope you’re having a great day babe! Xo
    Go with hairless Sphinx, our Bengals are such a pain in the ass!
  • They’re super stubborn aren’t they? I’ve cared for some but that’s totally different than living with them. I do love you have a pair of them. 🙂
  • Can we go to Barbados RIGHT NOW? I need a vacay BADLY!
  • Seriously tho… I need a break too before I snap.
  • Nikki Frank-Hamilton
    I love this…“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home. – Australian Aboriginal Proverb. It is so cool, so eye opening. We are only here for a time, this earth is not ours to use and waste and plunder. We need to leave it for those who are coming!!!
    I love this…“We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love… and then we return home. – Australian Aboriginal Proverb. What an eye opener! We all are just visitors here, the earth is not here for us to use, waste and plunder, it is for those who are still coming…we can’t use it up!
  • That quote captures exactly how I feel about this planet!!
  • Bethany Magnie
    They did not take well to the baby at all :/ like terrorist status poops on the rug from the male, and the girl is just so timid. Probably cuz he beats up on her like a jerk!!! All the hairless Sphinx I’ve known are snuggle and adorable. I do love our crazy cats though don’t get me wrong!!
  • Oh jeez! The female is timid? Man, I’ve always met very fierce, confident bengals that are all up in your grill and just very big personalities… I find that surprising. Is that just since Naomi was born?
