Bigs and Littles – A Blogging Network 14

Bigs & Littles

Today I bring to you my follow up post to signing up with the Bigs and Littles Link Up, hosted by the lovely Christine over at The So-Called Homemaker and Chelsee over at Southern Beauty Guide
So What is Bigs & Littles?
(description obtained from this post)

Bigs & Littles blogging network

This is a partnering of bloggers to teach, to learn and to grow that lasts two months. In the Bigs & Littles Blogging Network big & little bloggers are matched together. Each of us regardless of size or experience has something we can give back to others. Throughout this program you will have the ability to build a new friendship, share experiences, teach, and learn.  We know that sometimes in the beginning days of our blogs we were frustrated, even sometimes now we just need a little blogging advice. We just felt that sometimes we were at a lost, with no one to help us understand  how blogging worked. This is something that we feel never changes, yes our blogs have grown tremendously, but with that comes a whole new set of issues that arise.

Have you ever felt the same? Well we can tell you that sometimes asking another blogger questions and advice can be quite frustrating and intimidating. Well if you are looking for a way to meet someone to share advice and just someone to lean on through your blogging experience, then this may be the perfect program for you.

Want help designing our blog, learning how to grow your blog, or just some general advice?  Then we suggest that you take a moment to contemplate this program!

So, if we were interested, we were to sign up and shortly thereafter we would be paired up with a BIG (I’m a little, just in case that wasn’t obvious).  And so around May 11th, pairings were announced and I excitedly waited to see who I’d be paired up with.

Now let me introduce to you the woman I was paired up with.

Her name is Mar and she blogs over at T.O. and Fro.

T.O. & Fro

Before I emailed Mar to introduce myself, I went to her a blog to see just exactly who this lovely woman was and the kinds of things that she liked or blogs about and I discovered one very cool fact.

Mar tells me, we were linked up based on our mutual love of animals.  Little did either Christine or Chelsee know that Mar and I live practically in the same zip code!!!  We literally live less than an hour away from one another!

We love animals, we love the outdoors and adventures AND we both SCUBA dive.  Really, we couldn’t have been paired up with better people (imo).

Thus far, she has helped answer some of my (what I think is) stupid questions or provided some great advice that I know will only help me reach further success in this space.

I know that this is just the beginning of a wonderful friendship and I can’t thank her enough for being as supportive as she has been.

Mar & her husband, Steve

T.O. & fro started as a journal to document our travels when an expected move took us over 4500 miles from home to the Land of the Midnight Sun Alaska. We now call the concrete jungle of Toronto home, but still long for the simple life surrounded by Mother Nature. I love to share about my life as an environmental educator, outdoor enthusiast, animal lover, photography buff, travel enthusiast and foodie.

I just wanted to thank YOU all for being a huge support over the last few months and I want to thank all of my new friends and bloggers for taking the time to mentor me and answer some of my questions.

It’s been an incredible experience and every month it just gets better and better!  I’m humbled and so blessed for all the opportunities and I just can’t wait to see where this journey leads.

Have a FABULOUS weekend my friends!! 😉

Definitely am going to need this! Just started my blog this week and already getting frustrated trying to figure stuff out lol!

  • Like you, I’m sure you love finding other Canadian bloggers. We are a smaller bunch compared to our U.S. counterparts. 🙂

Have a great weekend babe! Xo

  • I’m so excited that I met you 🙂 we literally don’t have any excuse! Lol

  • Don’t worry I think most bloggers are in the hole but it’s worth all the hard work and the friendships you build, they’re invaluable. 🙂

    What’s your blog Kayla?

  • Nikki Frank-Hamilton

Ok, first, I would spend the money on groceries. If I could use this to cover the basics then I could purchase something that would be considered a bit frivolous. I would also like to make a dinner for a friend who just had a baby. She has 5 children now, I am sure they could use a break!

  • I know, right? It’s wild! We haven’t met yet but I’m sure we will soon. We have no excuses – we work down the street from each other! 🙂
    Thanks so much Chelsee! 🙂
