Hello, Friends! I literally can’t believe that today marks fourteen weeks (or just over 3 months) post-op with regards to Charlie and having had surgery on June 22, 2015 for a cranial cruciate tear, as well as a meniscus tear (also known as or called an ACL/CCL tear).
Charlie goes to hydrotherapy twice a week, always. And I think this consistency and the hard work is paying off. You can see how well he’s doing in the video below.
Here is a video from last week’s 25th hydrotherapy session and as you can see, he could not be doing any better. He’s just amazing. 🙂 Currently, Charlie does 25 minutes in the tank. We warm up and he has his usual pace but he does a few intervals at a trot pace and it’s so adorable, his ears bounce, we don’t give him treats as he’s running because he just can’t “walk and chew gum” at the same time… LOL. He’ll chew, chew, chew and then fall back and hit the black non-moving part of the treadmill and then have to catch back up again. It’s pretty funny. We thought he was tired after his previous sessions with no trot but oh no, now he goes home and disappears to fall asleep for hours and I’m talking LOUD snoring. But, as ‘they’ say, a sleepy puppy is a happy puppy. Indeed. 🙂 [Let me know if for some reason you can’t see the video.]
My Weekend Recap – Not much to recap in words. I slept in, I napped, we ate a lot of yummy (but bad for you) food and I don’t regret it for a second. We went to Woofstock, North America’s largest outdoor dog festival. I cleaned up a bit, decluttered some but I have more to do this week. We also went for a hike and sat by Lake Ontario just enjoying the views and the beautiful breeze. We meal prepped, we ate at odd times, it was just nice to not do much or have nothing to answer to. It was just nice. What did you do this weekend?

I hope you all are having/have had a wonderful Afternoon! Cheers!
