10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week 35

Happy Friday and Welcome to the 10 Things That Made Me Happy This Week Link Up!

Each Friday, Krysten from Why Girls Are Weird, Charlotte, from My Pixie Blog and I host a weekly Friday link up where we reflect on the happy and grateful things in our lives, but more specifically from the last week.

Sometimes all it takes is gentle reminders of things that make us grateful or appreciative. We live in a world full of disaster, chaos, poverty, famine, and tragedy – reflecting on the positive, I personally find makes me more aware and appreciative of the little things.

Don’t you agree?

When adding your blog post link, please remember that this is not a link dump; if it is not an appropriate link, it will be deleted.

I have plenty of things I’m happy and/or grateful for and they are:

1. Road trips north on early mornings and views like this:

2. Watching the seasons start to change.

3. Watching a few documentaries this week. Moving, educational, sad, uplifting.

4. Working out with friends. I love getting my sweat on with my girl Regina.

5. Cuddling on the couch with these two:

6. Hanging out with the boys in the evenings this week, although certainly not enough. I feel guilty because we’ve been so busy this week and I’ve had pet visits two nights ..

7. Inspirational quotes – they give me hope when I’m feeling bleak and life sucks.

8.  My mom. For so many reasons. This week though, I love her dearly because she’ll listen to me cry on the phone or vent. I feel like some days she’s the only one in my corner. I don’t know what I’d do without her.

9. Peace within.

10. …. All I got is 9 this week!  I’ll still take it.

What about you? What are you happy or grateful for this week?

I’m heading up north again to compete and help out with a action shooting competition and see the inlaws, you know, fun stuff.

What about you, what do have YOU got planned for the weekend?

I really hope you have a fantastic weekend whatever it is you end up getting up to! Xo

I don’t link up but I still llike to visit. This week I am so grateful. I feel that after such a long time I am on the right path and things are looking my way! Grateful to be alive and grateful to be able to visit you, although not as often as I’d like. Give hugs to the boys!

  • Watching the seasons change. My favorite too. Can’t wait when I can feel the difference here in the south. It takes longer than most. Enjoy your weekend.

  • Sometimes you get all ten, some days you settle for less–it’s all good! I think I made it to 7 this week 🙂

Aww, your mom sounds incredible <3

Also I totally want to snuggle with those big boys in your pic. So cute!

Hope you have a great weekend, momma! Xoxo

I love that your mom is there for you. Even as adults we need them. I love that view! Have a wonderful weekend girl!

  • That view is so beautiful it looks fake. I love places like that.

  • Cuddling with the dog is always nice. 🙂 We have a 115lb rottie that loves to try and lay with me on the floor.

  • That view is amazing! And I’m glad you have your mom to vent to – I find myself doing that a lot lately as well. Pretty much daily actually. Hope you have a great weekend!

  • I always feel bad when I have a busy week and feel like I don’t get to see my sweet Mina as much as I’d like. Especially on the days where i come back from a long day at work and she’s waiting at the door for me like, “Where have you been?” It totally breaks my heart, but I try to make up for it with lots of tummy rubs. 🙂

  • Those are all wonderful things! I love watching the change in seasons and it feels as though fall has finally arrived after this super hot week! Happy weekend and enjoy those puppy cuddles! xxx

  • The view in your #1 is absolutely AMAZING! What a spectacular view! Have a wonderful weekend!

That first picture is so very, very pretty. I can only imagine how beautiful that spot is in real life.

  • I’ve been loving inspirational quotes lately too! And moms are the best!

  • Hi Mary,
I’m glad you still pop by. I’ve fallen so behind on so many link ups and I *think* I’ve just about given up, at least for now. Just too busy and I’ve got other things on my plate, so I’m not going to stress out about it, you know?
I’m glad to hear that things are well with you and on track where you think they should be. That’s wonderful. 🙂
I’ll give the boys a smooch for you when I get home. 🙂 xoxox!

  • It’s beautiful, although I’m not a huge fan of the season that follows, LOL, but it is what it is. I live in Canada and snow is par for the course. 🙂
Have a great week hun! xo

  • Thanks Girl! I hope you had a great weekend and a great week ahead of you, too!

  • Thanks lovey. 🙂

  • It’s a nice time of year to head up north. Everything is still lush but the colours are changing, that’s for sure. It’s incredible how quick it all turns even from one week to the next. I’m heading up once again this coming weekend so it’ll be interesting to compare the last three weekends.
    Have a great week hun!

  • Thanks so much for stopping by Brittany. Feel free to link up with us sometime, it’s fun! 🙂

  • Hey girlie,
I still have to respond to your message from yesterday. How was your weekend? Sounds like it was partially relaxing for you. 🙂
I’m so exhausted from the weekend and already looking forward to this one coming up. LOL That’s sad because it’s only Tuesday. Ah well… Have a great week, love!

  • I would be lost without her, truly. I may have lost out on knowing my father, but I’m appreciative that I’ve always had my mom – she’s such an amazing and supportive lady it’s incredible.
Have a great week, love! 🙂 xo

  • It does, doesn’t it? Especially in comparison to what I shot on Friday morning – lots of dew and mist rising from the water, it looked magical.

  • I bet your Rottie thinks he/she is just a little dog. I find with small dogs, they think they’re massive and vice versa. I can’t say I wouldn’t mind snuggling with a dog-human size cuddle bum. I’ve snuggled with a 160 lb Great Dane and a 175 lb Leonberger and it’s almost the nicest, most comforting thing on the planet, at least that’s my opinion. 🙂
    Have a great week, Sarah!

  • Hey girl,
I’m so fortunate to have such a supportive Mom. I feel guilty for sometimes unloading on her, but I’m always glad that night or day, I can always call her or see her and she’d never bat an eyelash. I seriously don’t know what I’d do without my mom. I’d be lost.
I hope you have a great week hun! 🙂

  • I feel so guilty on pet sitting weekends. The dogs always check me out and sniff me like a traitor, but they don’t hold grudges, thankfully. lol! Thank goodness our babies are so forgiving of their humans. 🙂

Have a great week hun! xo

  • We had about a week of coolness at the beginning of September but it’s been hot again for the last week. Like not just warm, but HOT as crap. I shouldn’t complain. That white crap is soon coming on the horizon, much to my chagrin. LOLOL!
Have a great week hun! xoxo

  • Thanks girl, wait for the comparison photo that was taken last Friday, a week after the one you liked above. 🙂
Have a great week, Ericka! 🙂

  • Thanks so much Penny. Believe it or not, it’s literally as you pull off the highway on the on-ramp. You look over and you’re stopped in your tracks. I swear, northern Ontario, everywhere you look, there’s just so much beauty.
Have a great week Penny! 🙂

  • Agreed on both. The inspirational quotes are helping when I’m having less than great days and then I’m reminded it’s not so bad. I guess that’s perspective for you…. 🙂
Have a great week Laura! 🙂

  • Mar

I heard a rumour the colours won’t be as vibrant this fall, it’ll be a quick change, because of how dry its been. Hoping I get to see some colour! Enjoy your week, and weekend up north!

  • I wouldn’t be surprised, we haven’t had much rain at all this year, although many of us said we could’ve/should’ve built an arc on Saturday, it rained like you wouldn’t believe.

I hope you have a wonderful week and weekend, hun. Enjoy your time up north!!
