Is it Friday, yet? This phrase should be indicative to the mood/week I’m having. Scratch that, I wrote that previous sentence on Monday and it’s now Wednesday and it’s not that bad of a week.
I’m really not in a great mood this week and I just want it to be over with. Do you ever get the feeling that time is just slipping through your fingers and sometimes you just feel like you’re going through the motions of life, not really making the most out of it? That’s what this past weekend felt like. You could feel the tension between Jeff and I and I cannot stand that!! I’d rather just get things off my chest, discuss and be done with it and let it go instead of beating it with a dead horse. But does it ever work out that way? Hardly.
Saturday, Jeff and I drove out to Peterborough to shoot an IDPA match (pistol shooting) and I actually beat 4 people. I bombed one stage in low light. I literally just banged through 20 bullets trying to hit the steel popper and was just not having it. I came away from it with a cut on my hand from how I was holding the flashlight in the low light stage and I also had three casings fly down my shirt, two of which I stopped mid-way through the staged, bent forward and flicked them out. The third, oh that one went down the cleavage and it seared away at my virgin skin as I tried in vain to hit the god damn steel popper. I was just mad at that point for not being able to hit the popper. Note to self: wear turtlenecks when shooting. LOL We then ended up driving back through downtown Toronto, enjoying the beautiful sunshine and drive and then we headed back north to head home. Later that evening, two of our friends popped over for the evening and even our neighbour, Dina, with the Bichons (Lily and Stella) popped in for a visit.
Sunday morning was just tense. Let’s backtrack a bit: I fell asleep Saturday night on the couch, which is one of Jeff’s pet peeves. I angrily woke up and stomped off to bed. Sometime after me, Jeff fell asleep on the couch and moseyed on to bed. I woke up at 7:30 and tried in vain to get him up until about 8:30. He was tired and had only slept maybe 4 hours. I was expecting him to cancel our plans with my mom and him tell me to go on my own, but he didn’t. We ended up going downtown to the Green Living Show at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Lots of good stuff to see but meh, nothing really spectacular. It was a nice outing with my mom, though.

And then we got home:
Look at my ranunculus! Just now, three weeks later, the new buds are starting to open up.
Hope you all have a lovely Wednesday! 🙂
