What’s up, Weekend? 28

What's up weekend?

Happy Friday and Welcome to the ‘What’s up, Weekend’ Friday Link Up!

Welcome to theΒ revamped link-up that Charlotte, from My Pixie Blog, Christina from The Brave WandererΒ and I host called ‘What’s up, Weekend?’

For the last two years, Fridays have always been (and always will be) a place where I reflect on the happy and grateful things in our lives, but more specifically from the last week. To expand upon that, this link-up is now open to any post that relates to happy things, happy lists, gratitude lists, faves of the week or it could also be your practice to greet the weekend with a bang/open arms. Whatever your choice is, have fun with it. But please remember that any links that are just simply “dumped” or if your blog post does not mesh with our theme, it will be deleted.

For me personally, sometimes all it takes are gentle reminders of things that have made me grateful or appreciative during the week. We live in a world full of conflict, disaster, chaos, poverty, famine, and tragedy – you name it. Reflecting on the positive, I personally find, makes me more mindful, gracious and appreciative of all things, big and small.

You can be having the worst of weeks but I always, always manage to find things to be happy or grateful for. So, I hope writing out your lists makes you happy, too!

What's up, Wednesday?

**When adding your blog post link, please remember that this is not a link dump; if it is not an appropriate link, it will be deleted.**

Grateful and Happy things of the Week:

1. Watching a 12-month old tiny little Cavalier King Charles spaniel carry a piece of mail back from the mailbox that was almost as big as him. It was too cute.

2. We were forecasted to get rain last Sunday but I woke up for my pet visits and the sun was shining and it was just beautiful. It was like the weather and nature gods were all in harmony. πŸ’—

3. Handsome, fluffy, yummy smelling, freshly groomed little boys.Β

4. Beautiful, sunny, HOT spring days. I love it!Β

5. I saw a 10-week old baby Bichon last Sunday night and I almost drove away with her she was so darn cute. God Iove puppies, especially baby Bichons, they remind me of when the boys were tiny and make me yearn for another.

6. Looking forward to a baseball game with friends tomorrow afternoon.

7. Looking forward to Sunday: the Ride for Heart’s 75 km bike ride.Β

8. Cuddles with Charlie on the couch after work.Β

9. Pack walks with our friend and her two Bichons.

10. Β Heading over to see my friend Steve and supporting the kick off to the “walk a mile in her shoes to end domestic violence” charity walk two days ago. It was mostly men walking a mile in heels and it was fabulous. Loved the energy in the crowd. πŸ™‚

What are YOU happy or grateful for this week?

Tomorrow, we’ve got a Blue Jays game were going to with some friends and the following morning, we are doing the 75 km Ride for Heart.Β  Wish us luck! πŸ™‚

What about YOU? What do you have planned for this weekend?

Men walking in heels for domestic violence. LOVE it! That’s so cool.

It sounds like you had a really awesome week – so that’s great. πŸ™‚ We had some pretty good weather last weekend too after thinking it was mostly going to be a wash out.

  • Sounds like you had a great week. Good luck for the bike ride on Sunday!

  • I have heard of those walk a mile in her shoes events before, they sound so awesome. What a great cause! Baseball games are SO much fun, such a summer treat! I hope you enjoy! Happy weekend my dear!

  • Wow, you’ve had a busy week but it sounds like it was a good one. It’s funny you mentioned the puppy carrying mail back from the mailbox. I just saw the cutest video of what appears to be a corgi shoplifting a bag of chow and running down the street with it. (video here: http://bit.ly/2rjhKLv ) He was so cute! Hope you have a great weekend, friend!

  • Jessica Bradshaw

So many puppy moments. I love it!! They really do make our lives so much better. I hope you have an incredible week next week. πŸ™‚

  • Loved seeing the footage from the walk a mile in her shoes event!!! Sounds absolute amazing and how great to see that unfold <3

Awww I love these dog moments! I swear, one of the reasons I want to move so bad is because I really want to take in at least one more foster at a time. It must be so fun to have dogs around you all the time!!

Sounds like you have a packed weekend ahead–have a great one, momma, and let us know how you make out with the bike ride!!

  • Kim Munoz

So many puppies. Is there anything happier than that πŸ™‚ CKCs are such regal little dudes! The video from the walk was awesome! I didn’t see what it was from at first and was like, What is going on! You are always so busy love. Make sure to take some time to yourself this weekend! XOXO

  • Penny @ pennyspassion.blogspot

Good luck with your ride and enjoy the game! Have a fantastic weekend!

  • Sounds like a great week. Good luck with your ride! Can’t wait to hear about it. Have a fabulous weekend!

  • The spaniel fetching mail sounds adorable!

  • Jade Lee Wright

Love how your grateful for animals and mother nature in so many of this points – you are such a special soul xxxxxxxxxx

  • San

I love going to baseball games… thanks for the reminder, I have to put this on my schedule again this summer.

  • It was honestly so much fun seeing so many guys trucking along in heels, and most couldn’t walk to save their lives! Haha! But such a great cause. πŸ™‚
I’m hoping the weather improves; seems we have more grey than sunshine.

Have a great week Lauren! πŸ™‚

  • I’d seen them before in the newspaper or on the news, but never firsthand. It was fun!
The baseball game was a ton of fun and it was nice and sunny (and hot)!

Have a fabulous week my friend. πŸ™‚

  • Oh my gosh that is way too cute!! Thanks for sharing that. πŸ˜‰
Have a great week, hun! xo

  • Life is so much better (and enriching) with the dog. There’s no love like that of a dog! πŸ™‚
Have a great week, Jessica! xo

  • Wasn’t it great? It was such a good vibe surrounded by so many positive people. πŸ™‚ And someof the dudes, WOW!

Girl, you’ll be in a house soon, and I promise you you’ll get your wish. πŸ™‚ Have faith babes. πŸ˜‰ If I could take my dogs everywhere I go, I totally would.

I hope you had a great weekend hun! I didn’t do the bike ride because it was a massive thunderstorm and I didn’t want to risk falling off my bike (hello, clumsy Lindsay). And with us going on our paddling trip, I can’t afford to be a broken putz. Lol! I raised the money and that was the important part.

I hope you have a great week babes! xoxox

  • CK’s are the cutest. With their big, soft eyes, and their silky soft ears… their just the sweatest, happiest little things. πŸ™‚
Yeah I realize it was a bit a confusing, I mainly took photos and video for my friend Steve on stage. Glad I went, because it was such a good energy, fun and a good cause.
Girl, I rest taking cat naps on my train rides to and from work. πŸ™‚ Weekends, me napping drives jeff nuts so I nap when he’s gone for the weekend. πŸ˜‰ hehe!

I hope you have a great week hun! Xo

  • Thanks, Penny. I hope you had a relaxing weekend. πŸ™‚

  • It was so adorable and it looked so proud! πŸ™‚

  • Love you sweetheart. Always love when you stop by. <3
I never liked nature much when I was younger because I don't think I experienced it much with my mom, but I'm grateful to have an appreciation for it now.
And animals, you know I'm a sucker for them. πŸ™‚ xoxoxox

  • No prob, glad to. I love going when we can, especially if it’s a nice day and the roof of the stadium is opened. πŸ™‚

  • Thanks hun! I hope you had a lovely weekend. πŸ™‚

  • Thanks babe. I didn’t end up doing the bike ride because it was thunderstorms and risk of lightning. I didn’t want to fall on my ass and hurt myself, to be honest with you. I did it last year in a misty rain and even that at times was trying. People I know who did gonon Sunday got drenched.. and now are sick. πŸ™ Oh well. The money was raised. πŸ™‚
I hope you had a great weekend hun. πŸ™‚

  • It looks as though you had a pretty good week, Lindsay. That fundraiser to help end domestic violence sounds like a fun way to raise funds and awareness about a very serious issue. For what it’s worth, I *know* I couldn’t walk a mile in heels (as I;ve said before, I don’t really like wearing shoes, period. πŸ˜‰

  • LOL @ broken putz πŸ™‚ Good call on skipping the bike ride. No fun in the rain (not to mention, super dangerous, especially for those of us who are… how should I put this? Coordination-challenged, HA!).

Thank you for your well wishes πŸ™‚ they mean so much!

  • I did, thanks and hope yours was good too. πŸ™‚
It’s a really fun way to get out and raise money and awareness in a fun way, you know? It certainly grabs your eye if you’ve never seen it before downtime.
P.S. I can barely walk a mile, too, so weren’t in the same boat, Kevin. Hahah!

  • LMAO thank you for being so delicate with my feelings. Hahah. I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m challenged… perhaps in many ways… lol!!
I’ll likely write to you tomorrow love. My day has gotten away on me, unfortunately. Thinking of you babes. xoxoxo
