Who doesn’t love a gorgeous, but practical writing tool in their life? As bloggers, as movers and shakers and even mom’s and dad’s, we all want simplicity and our lives to be doused with creativity and products that actually make sense to use and that we enjoy. After all, a well designed product can and will improve your life, right? Right. Enter Baron Fig.
Here is where I get a bit nerdy. I am all about notebooks, whether it is simply collecting them because one can never have too many notebooks (can they really? Let’s be honest here..), or for writing lists, jotting notes and doodling. And as a matter of fact, I would say that I know only one person who enjoys a good notebook and a fancy writing tool more than I and that would be my dear husband Jeff. I don’t know when exactly I noticed his obsession but it was like all of a sudden I noticed him checking out paper, notebooks, pens and all the fancy stuff down the stationary aisles in every store we went into. Since discovering this niche world, Jeff has found found a few small stores in our area and online that have an incredible selection of writing tools, whether it be notebooks, fountain pens, wax and seal sets, stamps, cute paperclips and so much more. Jeff now has three fountain pens, a small selection of brands and colours of inks and it looks like we have a small papershop in our condo, not that I’m complaining. Just a couple of months ago, I was gifted with a TWSBI Eco Turquoise edition and I am loving it. I now enjoy much, much more writing down notes and dates, plans and to-do lists and it wouldn’t be perfect without grabbing my handy dandy, pretty Raspberry Honey Baron Fig notebook.
Pen and paper shops are quite few and far in between nowadays, many opting to have a store on the web instead of brick and mortar, and this is where Baron Fig comes in. They don’t have an actual store but we get around that by being able to browse their website and seeing allllllll of the pretty, useful things that they have to offer people like you and I.
Baron Fig was gracious enough to send me not only one, but two notebooks. When I was chatting with them, they offered up a notebook for my hubby and he was all over it. He ended up choosing the Work/Play II, which is such a fun book and ideal for doodles or artistic folk, or whatever frankly. There are dot grids on the left hand side of the notebook and on the right, it’s blank slate. It’s a perfect balance, right? The best of both worlds – perfect for jotting notes, sketching out a few things or even just doodling. My hubby thought this was the perfect book for him when planning out stages in our target shooting matches. So far he’s used it a tiny bit, and has enjoyed it, and hopes to put it to better use this month and going forward, which couldn’t be better timing – Jeff is planning October’s match as we speak.
I, on the other hand, have been using my Raspberry Honey for anything and everything. Let me just be clear that the Raspberry Honey is a limited edition notebook so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good. Spoiler alert: I have one Raspberry Honey notebook to give away to one lucky person, so enter don’t forget to comment below if you’d like to be entered.
What exactly do I use my Raspberry Honey for, you ask?
- to-do lists,
- notes for product reviews,
- grocery lists,
- blog post ideas,
- meal planning for the week, and so much more!
Their mission statement, which I love, is, “To champion thinkers around the world through inspiration and imagination.” And they do just that. They make beautiful writing tools designed with simplicity, usefulness and practicality. Not only that, but the cool thing is that all of Baron Fig designs are a product of community feedback. They are continually trying to improve their products based on the feedback received, a retailer that listens to YOU, you guys, how awesome is that?!
Another thing I love about them is that they have a “Buy a book, Plant a tree” program. Buy any one of their notebooks in their Confidante line and in turn, they’ll plant a tree as a way of giving back in appreciated. To date, they have planted 113,361 since launching their brand and I think that is pretty damn fantastic.
So, to conclude: I love my Baron Fig notebook and I wholeheartedly recommend them to others, that’s right, I’m talking to all you bloggers out there. I know you love pens and paper and all the pretty, luscious things like I do, so what are you waiting for? If you’d like a chance to win your very own Raspberry Honey, please comment below and I will number the comments as they come in and on Monday, October 9th at 7 am EST, I will pick a winner from random.org and send the notebook to the lucky winner. Thanks so much for reading you guys! 🙂
Disclosure: I received these notebooks in exchange for a review, however all opinions are 100% honest and entirely my own.
