Life Lately 9

Hands up if you find it difficult to balance a full time job whilst blogging? Or is it just me?

I don’t really do annual recap posts, nor do I post too many goals (if any at all). I also do not tend to pick a word of the year, and that’s totally okay. I believe in growth all year round and for me personally, setting goals January 1st sets me up for failure.  I’d rather just go with the flow.

So, today I’m going to do a little ‘Life Lately’, which is basically a pseudonym for photo dump.  A photo dump of the last 2-3 weeks.

Life Lately

The Friday before the holidays.

My holidays were lovely – I managed to stay away from work for ten whole days and it.was.glorious!! I hibernated much of last week, though. It’s SO flippin cold here. At any given moment, the temperature is anywhere from -15 to -30 CELSIUS. And yes, I know I live in Canada and this is the norm for our winters but let me tell you something, I am 34 years old and you never get used to this freezing cold shit. And yet, every single year I ask myself why I am not living in the Caribbean. *sigh* Maybe some day that’ll be reality …

New Years Eve was great, too.  We just hung out with our friend’s Tara and Erik, drinking and playing cards.

Anyways…. how has your week been, friends?

  • I try to put a bunch of posts in draft that I know I’m going to write, and tap a lot of them out on my phone then add photos and edit later. Sort of like batch blogging. LOL

Aw, fun photos. I always love seeing your dogs. I’m kind of obsessed with taking pictures of my dog. LOL I’m glad that you had a nice holiday and it wasn’t too crazy or stressful!

Yes, definitely feel it’s a struggle to balance a full time job with blogging (and all my other hobbies – haha!). I often do brain storming and drafting on my lunch breaks and do the majority of my writing on the weekends.

  • Hand up real high over here, Lindsay. Thanks for catching us up through your photos! This was my first full week back to work, which made it seem long. I guess I have to build my stamina back up. LOL.

  • I’ve been trying to do that more since you messaged me. Thanks girl. 🙂

  • I have a ridiculous amount of photos on my phone but I wouldnt have it any other way. It’s nice to look back and reminisce, heck we were doing that earlier tonight looking at puppy pics of the boys. 🙂
Thank goodness the holidays were relatively low key. It was debatable how it was going to go. Lol!

  • I really really struggle and I’m glad I’m not the only one….. I’ve started unsubscribing to things that don’t spark any interest anymore, too and that’s been helpful. 🙂

  • Lol! It’s rough eh? I find all of January just rough and bumpy. And I think I’m always in denial the holidays are done. Time just passes so quickly … 🙂

  • *sticks hands in the air*
I try to plan ahead and spend some of my lunchtimes doing that – I need to get into the habit of saving drafts when I have spare time but sometimes life is so busy and days go by without blogging.
My Mom is in hospital – long story but thankfully she is on the mend. I spent 2 days in Worcester so I could be near the hospital – been a very stressful time for our family as we’ve never seen my Mom so ill.
Your photos are lovely and I’m glad you had a relaxing festive season. I’m catching up on the blogs so that is why I’m a bit late commenting here!
