Pet Sitting Adventures – November Edition 18   Recently updated !

Pet Sitting Adventures – August Edition Hello my friends and welcome. What a light weekend last weekend was, with only fifteen visits.  I’m not sure why that was, but I’m pretty sure it’s the calm before the storm, aka the holidays.  So here’s the deal for any new readers here. Pet sitting is my part-time, fun “job”. I work one weekend a month, every four weeks (and sometimes more often, if it is needed and I am available) and have been doing so for the last five years. It was a job that I just happen to stumble upon I guess at the […]

Things I’ve learned Pet Sitting over the last five years 19

Things I’ve learned pet sitting over the last five years: That almost all cats love their chins scratched. That most dogs hate you going over their head to pet them. That your allergies can improve the more you’re around animals. Point and case: I’m no longer allergic to dogs and my cat allergy has gotten better slightly. It’s best to take photos of pets on burst mode, that way you’re to get at least one decent picture out of say 20. That most cats will only want to interact with you on their terms. That dogs can se fear and pick […]

A to Z Pet Mom 10

So I totally stole this post idea from Britt over at Alternatively Speaking, a cool chick (and blogger!) that I happened to meet last week at our friend Alex and Norma’s wedding.  She’s pretty cool, we have a lot of things in common and she’s just very easy to talk to.  I was happy that we were seated with another lovely couple at the wedding that just so happened to be dubbed crazy dog people, too.  Go check out her blog! So today I’m running down the alphabet today in the name of Pets.  I have done an A to Z […]

Life Lately – Newbarket Dog Festival & More Dog Photos 8

So I think it’s pretty safe to say if you don’t like dogs, you probably want to skip over this post.  And in actuality, if you don’t like pets in general, perhaps this is not the space for you since I am animal and dog obsessed.  *smiles*  This past weekend, I attended a dog festival in the town that I live in called Newbarket.  It has been ongoing for at least 5 years or so now and over the years, I’ve worked the event at our pet sitting booth, other years I’ve been pet sitting and unable to come out […]

Three Reasons My Dog is the Queen of the House {Guest Post} 20

I’d LOVE to introduce you to a lovely gal I met through our Peaceful Posee Facebook group, Ms. Lauren Becker.  Her and I both share a love for our beloved family pets so I thought it would be great to have her here and share some blogger love.  Take it away, Lauren!  — I have one dog named Luana – she’ll be 15 this December. By looking at her, it’s easy to see the Alaskan Husky, but she’s not full-bred. One of her veterinarians has said they believe she might have wolf in her, and I could see that, but […]

Pet Sitting Adventures – August Edition 16

Pet Sitting Adventures – August Edition Hello my friends and welcome.   It’s been four weeks since I last checked in.  This weekend was BUSY, but let’s be real – when are the weekends chill and easygoing, with few visits?  Gone are those days, which is good for business, but damn, if only I could clone and teleport myself so that I could get to more pet visits, it would be much, much better.  But I digress, I get by and it’s all in good fun.  On Sunday morning, I had a potential new hire join me from 7 am to about 11 am, showing him […]
