Charlie Update 13

So we are now on day 3 post-surgery for Charlie. He had his much-anticipated surgery on Tuesday morning with his orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Isakow. Now knowing his schedule, we are very lucky and blessed to have had him make the time to see Charlie and perform his operation.  His surgeon and his wife sold the business a couple of years ago and now, as a result, he doesn’t practice much and only comes in once a month.  We are super grateful for him and the work he did on Charlie.  The best though: my mom dropped Charlie off on Tuesday […]

Now let me backtrack a little for you. Fifteen years ago, if you’d have asked me what camping was like, I would have told you it involved booze, good friends, blow dryers and curling irons, cute outfits to impress nearby boys…. yeah, you’d laugh your pants […]

Happy Friday and Welcome to the ‘What’s up, Weekend’ Friday Link Up! Welcome to the revamped link-up that Charlotte, from My Pixie Blog, Christina from The Brave Wanderer and I host call, ‘What’s up, Weekend?’ For the last two years, Fridays have always been (and always will be) a place where I reflect on the happy and grateful things in our lives, but more specifically from the last week. You know you’re a dog mom/dad when … 8

You know you’re a dog mom (or dog dad) when: You sacrifice your own comfort for theirs.  Be it on the couch, in bed, camping, you name it.  I’ll let them be comfortable over my own simply because I love them.    You find dog poop bags in every crevice, every pocket and every nook and cranny.  And it never seems to phase you when you pull one out in public.  You just shove it back into the pocket it came from and carry on with your day. You start purchasing dog-friendly furniture or furniture that is more suited towards […]
